Baby Blues

I LOVE this face! This is a shot of my little guy giving me that smile that I just can't seem to get enough of. He's a kind-hearted, mess-making, truck-pushing, dinosaur-impersonating, grunting, rough, tough and tumbley kind of boy who has had my heart since the second I laid my eyes on him. His baby blues just make me melt (and I suspect they always will)!

Charlie & Joan's Golden Anniversary: Vow Renewal

I've known Joan & Charlie for about 8 years now. They are the great aunt & uncle of my husband and I believe that there are no sweeter people in this world. Strong in their love and even stronger in their faith, they have been a pair that I have looked up to and admired since I met them. 

We were blessed enough to be able to join them in celebrating their 50th year of marriage recently and what a beautiful celebration it was. The day began at their church with a service led by a priest and dear friend to both Charlie and Joan. Surrounded by their friends and family, they renewed their vows and commitment to one another. Joan wiped away the the tears as she recited those words and it seemed like she wasn't alone as most of those in the church were as well. 

After the ceremony, we made our way to their son's home where there was a tent, food and drink, music, and a wonderful slideshow depicting a lifetime of love and memories. Both sons were there with their families and everyone enjoyed watching the images of them growing up, the trips they had taken, silly moments they had shared, as well as holidays, birthdays, and other special times they had shared together. It was a lovely afternoon and I'm so thrilled that I got to be a part of it!! 

I have lots of love for Joan  & Charlie and the family they have made together and feel so honored to be able to call them family myself.

As we were entering the church, I spotted the butterfly that you see above. It was a wonderful sight and it sat so still as I went for my camera. So cool!

Callee's 1st Bday Bash

I had the pleasure of being asked to photograph this little muffin's 1st birthday party!! Callee is a cutie who loved all the food and attention, as any 1 year old would. But she seemed to especially love her cake smash, and so did I! She looked precious is this sweet tutu made my her mother and I was so honored to have been a part of her special day :)

A Peaceful Beach

My family and I recently spent a week in Wells, Maine. The weather was gorgeous and our surroundings were even moreso but I have to admit that my favorite part of our trip was not our daily excursions or the wonderful sight-seeing we did, but one early morning when we all rose and headed to the beach to watch the sun come up. The beach was desserted, with the exception of only a few other early-risers, but it felt as though we were completely alone with only the sounds of the surf and the glorious colors of sunrise to keep us company. I enjoyed every second of our peaceful time together as we strolled along the tide, still in our pj's. It's little moments such as these that you know will always stay with you... simply because they're just too good to forget!

Here are my dear, dear friends, Jen and Ben, and their handsome little guys, Dylan (5) and Gavin (12 weeks). We had a great time during their family session last night and I can't wait to post some more photos for them to see :)

Summer Sky
