Graham :: 3 Months

Besides the fact that I simply LOVE taking photos, the best part about doing this is the wonderful people that I get to meet. And this family is definitely no exception! Erin and Brett are newlyweds and have welcomed their absolutely adorable son, Graham, to their family. We met up at one of the most beautiful homes I've ever had the pleasure of visiting and I had such a wonderful time hanging out with the 3 of them. Graham has such a terrific demeanor and didn't seem to mind the camera (or me) at all. He enjoyed being outdoors and had one of the cutest giggles I've ever heard.

Erin and Brett, you are such sweet couple and I want to thank you both for inviting me to take these photos of your beautiful family. I'd also like to take the time to thank you, Brett, for your dedication and sacrifice in serving our splendid country. God Bless :)

The Larson Family

This beautifiul threesome come from Texas and were in NH visiting relatives. I was nothing short of flattered when Heather wrote to me and asked if I could take photos of them while they were here. Having family in Canada, I know how busy it is when you go "home" to see alot of people... time is precious and you do your best to see everyone in the time that you have which made it such an honor for me to have been included in their NH visit.

 Little Grace had eyes that went right through me and her sweet smile was absolutely contagious. She has parents who share a love of horses and farm life and it shown in Grace, the way she was mesmorized by all that was around her and showed no fear being around animals that were many times her own size. It was a gorgeous morning and I loved getting to know this family and admired the way they work as a team. Their love for Grace shown in everything they do and I have no doubt that she'll totally enjoy her life as a Larson! Thank you, Heather and Mike, for including me in your visit to NH. You were all so wonderful and I hope you have a safe trip back to The Lone Star State :)

Mark & Nicole :: Engaged

I met with Mark & Nicole over the weekend and was so pleased to meet such an adorable couple. They joined me at the park with their beautiful 2 year-old daughter, Rylee, and the 4 of us had fun walking around, trying very hard to keep cool as the temperature outside quickly rose.

I loved little Rylee! Not only was she a cutie, but I got such a kick out of how thoroughly amused she was during most of our session with just 2 pieces of chalk and the occasional snack. She has the sweetest little voice and she melted my heart the way she candidly blurted "It's so precious," after spotting a duck. We all had a good laugh and she appeared to be pretty proud of herself for being able to entertain us. And almost as great as Rylee were Nicoles' shoes! I loved both pairs that had brought along and it was a good thing that they were as high as they were because at 5'3" and Mark standing tall at 6'4", she needed all the height she could get. The height difference was just one of the many things that I enjoyed about these two and it was so great to spend such a beautiful morning with all 3 of them.

Mark & Nicole, I want to thank you for being so easy to be around and for being so willing to try anything that I suggested, even if it required you to be in the glaring, hot sun. And not only am I so excited for your big day, but I'm so grateful that you've decided to allow me to be a part of it. I can't wait!!

A Day In The Park

It was a perfect 84 degree day and I decided that the kiddos and I would do a picnic lunch at a park not far from our home (it is here that I feel the need to admit that I had my own selfish reason for wanting to visit this spot... only days from now, I have a shoot scheduled in this same park and I wanted to do some poking around and check it out as its been many years since my last visit). My plan was to walk around, enjoy the scenery and take in the nature around us. It's true that I was scouting the place, but also, as a stay-at-home mom, I'm always looking for people, places and things to introduce to my children. Not just to give them the opportunity to learn and experience all that they can, but also to help make our days together interesting and fun. And that's what is so great about being outdoors. The opportunities to learn and explore present themselves naturally, so we like to spend as much time as we can being outside .

My daughter was particularly happy we came to this park. Ever since she was young, she has been drawn to flowers. I probably have 100 pictures of her watering flowers, picking flowers, bending over and smelling flowers, etc. and at any point during the summer, I have at least 3 or 4 small vases full of flowers/weeds that she has picked for me on the counter in my kitchen. I love this about her and enjoyed watching her light up as she ran around excitedly inspecting the array of colors and smells in the endless line of gardens. She was thrilled to encounter such a place, but was tortured by the fact that she wasn't allowed to pick any of them.

My son simply enjoys.... well, everything. He's the happiest kid you could ever want to meet and he's very easy to please. And after a nice, long walk, his contentment faded (which could only mean one thing: he was hungry, per usual) so we settled down for our picnic next to a beautiful waterfall and it was great! We just sat, ate, played and simply enjoyed a summer afternoon. It was a perfect day all around. Nothing can beat a beautiful day with beautiful surroundings, especially when I'm with my beautiful children! :)

The only "flower" that she was allowed to pick... and she was proud of it :)

The gorgeous view from our picnic blanket... loved it!!

Gordon & Christina :: Engaged

It was so much fun meeting up with this sweet couple! Gordon and Christina have been together for 4 years and are very much looking forward to their BIG day on 11-11-11 (and so am I!). They were so great to tough out the extreme heat on the morning that we met for their e-session and were up for anything that I suggested. I loved the way they would look into each others' eyes, and the way that Gordon always knew how to make Christina laugh. As they described the dynamics of their relationship to me, is seemed pretty apparent that they're a perfect match and I couldn't be happier for them. Below  are some of the shots that I liked best, and I can't wait to witness them say "I do" in November. Much love to you both <3

Gavin & Beth

These 2 were so much fun! Gavin is the sweetest little 8 month old you could ever want to meet and I loved spending time with him and his doting mother, Beth. We met at this beautiful park, just in time before the rain set in, and Gavin seemed to be a big fan... especially of all the traffic going by. It was a riot the way he would whip his head around and would stare, open-mouthed, at every vehicle as they passed by. And it was tough for me to compete with the hustle and bustle of Manchester but he was too cute for words and I loved observing how these two interacted with one another. So a big thank you to you, Beth, for giving me the opportunity to meet and photograph your little man. You were so great with him and he's lucky to have you! :)
