Before & After

Many times I've seen photographers post photos that are SOOC (straight out of the camera) and then show an "after" shot with their edits. I always admire these posts! It's so fantastic to me to see what people start with instead of always seeing the end result. It can really help you to appreciate the work that went into a photo when you get a glimpse into the "behind the scenes" of what the image looked like before the editing process began. So, here's mine. This is Ryder. I wanted to show what my SOOC image looked like, and then compare it to the image that I will give to my client. This is my first (but hopefully not last) before and after :)

The Greeleys :: NH Family Photographer

This is Mrs. Greeley and her wonderful family!! Mrs. Greeley is a very special person to my family and I as she is my daughter's (and soon to be my son's) preschool teacher. The Greeley School is a fantastic place that my daughter loves and that my husband and I love sending her to. It's set on a farm where they get to not only learn about, but also see and experience nature for themselves and I'm so thankful that such a great school exists so close to my home! They also head up Greeley Farms Landscaping and are great at what they do so if you could use some help this summer, I'd recommend giving them a call.

Mrs. Greeley approached me about doing family photos as her son was about to return home for 2 weeks on leave. He and his beautiful wife are here for only a short time before they must leave again but you could tell that they were happy to all be together again.

 To say that I enjoyed my session with them would be an understatement. They were a blast and they made me laugh the whole time I was with them. Between the cows, muddy trucks, wheelbarrows, hay bales, the donkey, I was in my glory and loved every second of it! I'm soooo grateful that they allowed me the honor of being the one to shoot them all and I thank you, Greeley Family. You guys are great!! And to Andrew and Mariah, I want to sincerely thank you both for your service and selflessness. You guys are awesome!!

Jon & Amy and their boys are one of the sweetest families I've ever had the pleasure of knowing, let alone work with. And I don't think I will ever be able to put into words just how much I love them!!! They have supported me and have had faith in me through my journey as a photographer and it's hard to believe that two people I barely knew could believe in me as much as they have. They were my 2nd maternity shoot, and my very first e-session, wedding and now newborn session and I will never ever be able to express just how much that has meant to me. This beautiful family will ALWAYS have a very, very special place in my heart and I will always be grateful that I got to be a part of so many memorable times in their lives, and today was no exception as I got the meet their 7 day old son, Ryder. He's the sweetest little boy and was the most perfect model you could ever want to work with. 

Jon & Amy, it has been nothing but a joy and an honor to watch your love grow, and now your family. You guys are so special to me and I thank you from the bottom of my heart for allowing me to capture sweet moments of your handsome little Ryder today!! I love you guys <3
